WHAT CAN I DO THERE?

See equipment and learn about ways that you can help protect the environment at home, in the workplace and in community projects. Listen to speakers and debates, view environmental projects and activities undertaken by the youth of the shire. Ask questions of government and company representatives and from the many environmental groups who will be there. A large variety food and refreshments will be available.

Beaudesert Rotary Eco Expo will be heavily promoting:

- Renewable and Sustainable energy

- Sustainable Tourism

- Conservation of wildlife and other biodiversity

- Sustainable Living

- Sustainable Gardening: Vegetable & Ornamental

- Major Projects on recycling - we will be promoted through all programs encouraging people to reduce, reuse, repair, recycle and rethink your daily actions. Schools and charity groups who have recycling programs are asked to jump between program co-ordinaters so the public can bring products to the eco expo OR contact suitable contacts with individual organizations concerning donations of goods. For example Gleneagle school who have a mobile phone recycling program. Rotary computers for kids will receive computers during the eco expo. Great bears of the world are looking for fake fur coats; plush material pre-loved and injured bears. Materials are to be used for children in distress.

- Trees for survival: will also be part of our overall program with part of the proceeds from the eco expo and individual fundraising from the eco expo will be directed to a project or projects in our local region.
